Arie,
Yes it was.....
I trew everything away and started all over. The
configure file now contains a lot of commands.
Now I run into a new problem (why me all the
time???)
After the ./configure command I do get the
following :
./configure
creating cache ./config.cache
checking for gcc...no
checking for cc...no
configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH
So the executables in configure are started, but some cc/gcc can not be
found.
In what directory should it be located to get things moving again
(or should I load it)
Sorry for all the questions, but I am still in a steep learning
curve....

Henk,
It looks like you do not have the configure
script. Is it empty ?

Arie,
That command just gives a new
prompt.
No message what so ever.

Henk,
I an sure ./configure has not been run
completely, for it has not created the makefile.
If you run again ./configure what are you
then seeing on your screen?

Subject: [linrad] linrad
installation problem
Maybe I am doing something wrong, but my
linrad installation failed.
Decompression of the lir00-56.tbz file in
the lir directory is OK.
Next I gave the command ./configure (while in the lir dir)
This was executed as far as I can see,
because I do not get any error message in return.
"make" gives the following
message:
xxx no targets specified and no makefile
found. Stop.
What should I do, any help is
welcome.
Running Suse 8.0.
