Consider installing a precompiled RPM. I found one for you usingrpmfind.net


http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=svgalib&submit=Search+...&system=Mandrake&arch=

To install, have yourself logged in as root and enter the following onthe command line:

rpm -Uvhhttp://rpmfind.net//linux/RPM/mandrake/10.1/i586/media/contrib/svgalib-1.9.19-1mdk.i586.html


If it doesn't work, you can uninstall with

rpm -e svgalib

and then try another. I did this sucessfully on Mandrake 8.2 ...although I have not personally done it on 10.x.
