HI Leif:

I have read so much about all of that stuff that it all just swarms around 
in my head.  I still can't figure out how to turn the smart blanker on. I 
finally did something and the error went away. Unfortunately I don't know 
what it was.  I have pointed and clicked a ton of stuff to read the 
discussion.  Unfortunately, a bunch of it is written in FFT rather than 
ham.. Hi.  I will keep pointing and punching F1.

Thanks for the input. Please give me a clue about getting the smart blanker 
turned on. I have read and searched but so far haven't figured it out, 
except to activate FFT2.  Maybe it isn't possible in "simple" mode, that 
being one channel and 2.5 kHz bandwidth from a regular 
receiver(FT-1000MP).  I am sampling at 5000 Hz.

I am still having a small problem with the audio sounding like it is 
"ringing" when there is no signal present. I think that is indicative of it 
wanting to break into oscillation.  I have made numerous changes in the 
Kmix set-up, but have been unable to eliminate it. Likely something that I 
do not have set properly in Linrad.
