The sideband noise is only a few dB above the internal noise floor of the WSE/Linrad system so a second measurement was made with the carrier moved outside the visible window where the Linrad/WSE system can tolerate much stronger signals.

Fig.2. Everything the same as above except that the transmit frequency is changed from 14.125 MHz to 14.175 MHz and the attenuation is 20 dB smaller. A comparison shows that the noise of the Linrad/WSE system contributes by about 1 dB in figure 1. In figure 2 it does not contribute at all.
