The emitted spectrum from a TS-2000 in SSB mode on 144 MHz
at full power, nominal 100W.
The spectrum looks as if the ALC is over-active.
No time domain waveform was taken in SSB mode so the cause of the
observed splatter is unknown. It could be some high order
non-linearity in the power amplifier (clipping).
The serial number is 50600050.
Whistling in the microphone while repeatedly pressing and releasing
the PTT button produces this spectrum on 144 MHz when the power is set to 100W.
This spectrum indicates that the timing for rx/tx switching is fine and
that the clicks seen are due to the ALC.
